Here's a suggestion for a unique, interesting and unusual dining experience that you won't soon forget. Just plan a visit to the Jailhouse Rock Dinner Theater in Fremont, Ohio where you will have a rockin' good time as you dine in the historic Sandusky County Jail and enjoy evening entertainment that includes a tour of the facility. Fremont is approximately a 90 minute drive from Cleveland.

Jailhouse Rock Dinner Theatre Taking place on selected dates, your dining and entertainment experience begins as costumed staff members greet you when the doors open at 5:30 p.m. All guests then line up and have their mugshot taken and then join the "chow line." Dinner follows at 6 p.m. -- served right in the jail's cell block. Guests have the choice of enjoying their dinner in the cell block (or for those who are daring and bold) in an actual cell.

Dinner is catered by Jimmy G's and menu items include a pulled pork or brisket sandwich, baked beans, cole slaw, chips, a cake ball and beverage.

After dinner, all guests get to tour the Sandusky County Jail, dungeon and gallows (led by your very own inmate) and learn about its history. Guests will be able to take home their mug shots and a souvenir fingerprint card.

Reservations are required for the Jailhouse Rock Dinner Theatre experience. Tickets are $20 per person. Each event is limited to 30 guests so make sure you make your reservations early. Tickets must be purchased in advance.

Upcoming dates for the Jailhouse Rock Dinner Theater are August 25, September 29, October 27 (a special Halloween dinner) and November 17.
