The J. Clyde celebrates seven years with Tapas and Taps

The J. Clyde (1312 Cobb Lane, Birmingham) is set to celebrate their seventh anniversary with Tapas and Taps, a week-long event featuring gourmet small plates and fine craft beer beginning April 7.

For the past seven years, The J. Clyde has been an institution of craft beer culture in Birmingham and the state of Alabama. Through the years this pub has tapped innumerable beers, educated and initiated countless curious folks into full-blown craft beer lovers, acted as a meeting place for Free the Hops members as they planned their next step in craft beer reform, and reimagined what you should expect from pub cuisine in Birmingham. The J. Clyde's dedication to craft beer and their city is unwavering, and the staff is always looking for their next improvement to better your pub experience. It has been an amazing seven years, but The J. Clyde is just getting warmed up.

To celebrate their seventh anniversary and the many years ahead of them, The J. Clyde will host Tapas and Taps from April 7 to April 13. Each night of this event will feature a themed tapas menu paired with some of the best craft beer available in Alabama (full schedule and menus available below). Breweries from all over the state and country have been invited to participate, and many have contributed limited, small batch offerings just for this event. Each night's tapas will be available for $7 and the flight of paired beer offerings will be an additional $7. The anniversary celebration will end on Sunday with a seven course beer dinner featuring Birmingham's newest brewery, Trim Tab Brewing Company (click here for that information).

With these amazing tapas menus and that stellar beer list, Tapas and Taps is sure to be an unforgettable week at The J. Clyde. Make sure to swing by the pub to attend as many of these events as you can because you are not going to want to miss this. On a personal note, I'd like to wish everyone at The J.
