There is an incredible creature (cryptid) that has not yet been seen on the earth by man, but is described in detail in the Bible (King James Version) as a real creature. Cryptid is a relatively new word used among professionals and lay-people to denote an animal of interest to cryptozoology. A cryptid is an unknown species of animal or an animal which is thought to be extinct and has not yet been rediscovered by scientists.
In the book of Revelation chapter nine verses one through twelve there is an incredible cryptid that is describe in detail. It is a creature that will come out of the earth and men will see them. These creatures will swarm like locusts. But they will have an unusual shape to them. The shape of these locusts are like unto horses prepared unto battle. On their heads will be crowns like gold and their faces will be like faces of men. They will have hair on their heads as hair like a woman. Their teeth will be like that of a lion. They will have breastplates on their chest like iron. They will have wings that will sound like many chariots with horses running to battle. But the most incredible thing about these creatures is that they will have a tail that looks like a scorpion's tail complete with stinger.
We know that locusts are real creatures that do swarm. During biblical times there was a plague of locusts that ravaged Egypt that is chronicled in the Bible (Exodus 10:1-15). Swarms of locusts from time to time still plague this area and other areas around the world. But the locusts of Revelation chapter nine will not eat trees or grass (Revelation 9:4).
