The Ian Somerhalder Foundation won week 5 Bonus Challenge in the CrowdRise Holiday Challenge. The Challenge began on November 18 at 12:00 p.m. (ET) and will run through January 9 at 11:59 a.m. (EST).
The group who gathers the most donations during that period will receive $100,000 for the non-profit organization that they sponsor. Second place winner will receive $400,000 and third will get $20,000. More than $40,000 and Huff Post prizes will be awarded in addition to the aforementioned winnings during this period. The charity will also keep the monies that they have all ready raised.
The next Bonus Challenge will occur during the period starting January 6, 2014 at 2 p.m. (ET.) and ending January 9 at 11:59 p.m. (ET). The prize awarded to the top charity will be $6,000.
The Ian Somerhalder Foundation is currently in 14th place in the Holiday Challenge and has raised $32,926.00 thus far. If everyone rallied together we could reach first place by January 9.
