'The Hunger Games: Mockingjay' reportedly to begin filming September in Atlanta

The latest reports indicate that The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 1 will begin filming September 16th in Atlanta and Boston.

That news comes from Production Weekly on Twitter, and differs from a previous report that indicated Mockingjay could begin filming as early as July.

So far, Lionsgate has given no indication as to when or where Mockingjay will start filming, but September seems likely given that is also when Catching Fire started filming last year. However, it would also mean that cast and crew would have to take time off from filming in order to promote Catching Fire, which comes out in theaters November 22nd.

The only official news Lionsgate has released about the two Mockingjay movies is that Francis Lawrence is signed on to direct both of them, following his turn leading Catching Fire.

Actress Rebel Wilson has sparked Mockingjay casting rumors, when she revealed that she'd been in talks for a role in one of the remaining Hunger Games movies.
