'The Hunger Games' leads the People's Choice Awards with five trophies (Photos)

"The Hunger Games" was the big winner at the People's Choice Awards on Wednesday, Jan 9, 2013. The awards show, hosted by Kaley Cuoco, was televised live on CBS Television Network.

Fans voted for their favorite movies, actors, television shows and musicians. "The Hunger Games" took five trophies, including: favorite movie, action movie and movie franchise. Jennifer Lawrence won for favorite movie actress and "face of heroism." Stars Jennifer Lawrence, Chris Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth had fans' favorite on-screen chemistry.

"Thank you for loving movies as much as I do," said Jennifer Lawrence as she accepted the favorite actress award.

Meryl Streep was named the favorite movie icon.

Robert Downey Jr. won two awards, including favorite movie actor and favorite movie superhero for "Iron Man."

Chris Hemsworth won for favorite action movie star.

Zac Efron won for favorite dramatic movie actor. Emma Watson won for favorite dramatic movie actress.

Adam Sandler won the award for favorite comedic movie actor. Jennifer Aniston won for favorite comedic movie actress.

The favorite comedic movie was "Ted." The favorite dramatic movie was "The Perks of Being a Wallflower."
