Confirming previous reports that The Hunger Games: Catching Fire would return to Hawaii for nine additional days of filming, Jennifer Lawrence says she'll be flying out the day after the Oscars for more work as Katniss.
Lawrence confirmed filming details during an interview at the Academy Awards Nominee Luncheon last week. Lawrence is nominated for Best Actress for her role in Silver Linings Playbook.
Officially, Catching Fire wrapped filming in December, but rumors began a few weeks ago that filmmakers were planning some reshoots. It's already been confirmed that Lawrence and co-star Liam Hemsworth shot a new opening scene for the movie in New Jersey.
Most of Catching Fire was filmed in the Atlanta, Georgia area, but cast and crew spent a few weeks filming scenes for the movie's tropical arena setting in Hawaii. Now it seems they will film new or additional footage for those scenes over nine days, starting the week of February 25th.
Besides Lawrence, it's unclear which other cast members will be heading to Hawaii for additional filming.
Fans are hopeful that the additional filming will bring even more set photos. Snapshots from the first few days of filming in Hawaii were among the most exciting set images from all of filming on Catching Fire. View some of the best photos in the slideshow above.
