To say that fans of “The Hunger Games” are eagerly anticipating the second movie installment: “The Hunger Games: Catching FIre” is a bit of an understatement. Fans of both the book and the movie swarmed Comic Con earlier this year in an effort to get a glimpse of Katniss, er, Jennifer Lawrence. And for good reason, she is the fearless heroine back in action with her teammate Peeta (Josh Hutcherson) and her lifelong more-than-a-friend Gale (Liam Hemsworth).
Tickets for “The Hunger Games: Catching FIre” went on sale on Tuesday (October 1st) on Fandango with an extra announcement by AMC Theatres, who has further indulged fanatics with movie marathons (most recently the “Iron Man” trilogy and “The Dark Knight” and “Avengers” marathons last summer) by scheduling a special double feature on November 21st (tickets not yet on sale as of this posting date).
WIth the double feature, select AMC Theatres will screen “The Hunger Games” at 5 p.m. with “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire” immediately following at 8 p.m. Moviegoers attending the special event will receive a special events lanyard and dog tag as a souvenir.
The official “The Hunger Games: Catching FIre” soundtrack is also available for pre-order on iTunes featuring big name artists such as Coldplay, Christina Aguilera and Imagine Dragons.
Hurry to order your tickets for what will surely lead to long lines at the box office next month. And of course, may the odds be ever in your favor!
