'The Hunger Games: Catching Fire': First look at Plutarch Heavensbee (Video)

Just a day after new photos surfaced from the highly anticipated film The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, Entertainment Weekly posted several more new photos on Thursday, Jan. 10. The photos feature a first look at Philip Seymour Hoffman as Plutarch Heavensbee. The film, based on the second novel in The Hunger Games trilogy by Suzanne Collins, will open in theaters on November 22, 2013.

One of the photos is a behind the scenes look at Jennifer Lawrence and Liam Hemsworth being directed by Francis Lawrence, who was brought in to direct the second film. The other images show Philip Seymour Hoffman as Plutarch Heavensbee and talking to Woody Harrelson as Haymitch Abernathy. Donald Sutherland can be seen as President Snow addressing the crowd. Another image shows Mrs. Everdeen (Paula Malcomson) and Primrose (Willow Shields) looking worried.

The official plot synopsis for Lionsgate film is below:

The film begins as Katniss Everdeen has returned home safe after winning the 74th Annual Hunger Games along with fellow tribute Peeta Mellark. Winning means that they must turn around and leave their family and close friends, embarking on a "Victor's Tour' of the districts. Along the way Katniss senses that a rebellion is simmering, but the Capitol is still very much in control as President Snow prepares the 75th Annual Hunger Games (The Quarter Quell) - a competition that could change Panem forever.

The popular film also stars Josh Hutcherson, Jena Malone, Sam Claflin and Stanley Tucci. will be released in 2D and IMAX on November 22, 2013. Check out the official website for more information.
