The Howard Stern Show welcomed Sacha Baron Cohen as “Bruno” in-studio on Monday morning’s broadcast. While Howard Stern usually has to painfully extract explicit sexual details from his guests, Bruno required very little prompting. For once, Howard Stern found a guest that could keep up with him and his totally twisted staff.
Bruno discussed the challenges of growing up gay in Austria, his favorite gay idol (Arnold Schwarzeneggar), and using Mexicans as furniture. Bruno also took the in-studio opportunity at The Howard Stern Show to examine the private parts of exhibitionist staff writers Richard Christy and Sal Governale. His review? Richard’s private area was “fantastic”. And Sal’s? “Disgraceful.”
Longtime sound effects man/in-studio weirdo Fred Norris also gained accolades from Bruno. Only moments after entering the studio, Bruno shook Fred Norris’ hand and stated: “You are the silver fox.”
Bruno took the number one spot at the box office this past weekend, raking in more than $30 million. Sacha Baron Cohen and his flamboyant doppelganger were rushed off to another interview before Howard 100 News reporter Lisa G was able to ask Bruno whether his MTV Movie Awards stunt was inspired by Howard Stern’s appearance as “Fartman.” I think we all know that if Steve Langford had been on the case, this never would have happened.
The entire interview is available on YouTube in three parts.
