Diane Kruger was just announced for the role of "The Seeker" in the book-to-film adaptation of Stephenie Meyer's The Host, but already she's begun chatting about the news.
Kruger has been in Paris for Couture Week, and while she was at the Donatella Versace show, she spoke to WWD about her forthcoming work in The Host.
"I play The Seeker," she confirmed. "It’s a love triangle, of course, but it’s about aliens coming into human bodies and taking over . . . Earth has been occupied by all these aliens, and The Seeker is trying to find the last humans."
The Seeker was certainly a menace to protagonist "Wanda" in the book version of The Host, so it'll be interesting to see how Diane Kruger takes on the villainous (albeit slightly unaware) character for the film version.
The Host will be written and directed by Andrew Niccol, and a release date for the picture has been set for March 29th, 2013.
