The Hope Center offers Macomb residents more than hope (Photos)

Hope Center is a non-profit, volunteer driven, human service organization. Their purpose is to address the hunger crisis and respond to the needs of the residents of Macomb County. They meet need through a no cost client choice food pantry.

The Hope center mission is to transform lives one family at a time. The Center’s goal is to promote the development and well-being of people in need. This is accomplished by partnering with other human service agencies to connect families with a wide range of community resources at their one-stop- shop of human services. They are supported by Meijer, United Way, The Woods, Gleaners Food Bank, and Forgotten Harvest.

It is a grocery store style non–perishable and perishable food. Food is distributed based on the number of members in the household. Pantry access is limited to 6 times per calendar year (no more than once every 30 days). Access to the food pantry is by appointment only. Appointments can be scheduled at www.hopecentermacomb.org or by calling (586) 294-HOPE (4673).

On-site agencies, programs and services include Pathway, Southwest Housing Solutions, Community Housing Network, MI Child, Macomb Fresh, and Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA).

The Hope Center is experiencing an extremely high need faced by a somewhat low donation pool in comparison. The Center welcomes donations to help the needy.
