Working with a Life Coach can be an empowering experience. When done correctly it will help you to unlock answers to questions, uncover hidden saboteurs to your success, and create a positive mindset that will allow you to become your best. It is no surprise to find that people from all walks of life seek out the assistance of a coach to help them reach their personal and professional life goals.
For Christians, this experience can be deepened by incorporating Biblical principles into their coaching sessions and allowing the Holy Spirit to be their supreme Life Coach. This approach can enhance the coaching experience as the Holy Spirit guides the client through the process. However, this does not mean that the client gets to passively go through the sessions under the misconception that the Coach, God and the Holy Spirit will handle everything. No, the client must be actively engaged in the process by being transparent in recognizing that he or she is a work in progress and that there is no condemnation in admitting that there are areas that can be improved.
The Holy Spirit can help guide a client through any challenge or growth area in life. The purpose of the Holy Spirit is to guide and help Christians to transform into God's goodness. The Holy Spirit will also empower Christians to bear witness of Jesus.
"But when the Helper comes, whom I shall send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, He will testify of Me." - John 15:26 (NKJV)
"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere--in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."- Acts 1:8 (NLT)
But the fruit (evidence) of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. - Galatians 5:22-23 (NIV)
