A set design from Cirque Dreams Productions
No sooner does October roll around and we already see Christmas decorations in some stores. If it weren't for Halloween, there'd probably be more! That said, there is at least one holiday item that should be attended to ASAP: getting tickets for holiday shows in Atlantic City.
One such show---a "must see"---is Cirque Dreams Holidaze at Trump Taj Mahal (www.trumptaj.com), November 25 through December 13.
What theme can lend itself better to the Cirque Dreams formula than Christmas/Hanukkah? Perhaps no other. Created and directed by Neil Goldberg, Cirque Dreams Holidaze is an original new musical "filled with spectacle, imagination and whimsical dreams," say the producers Ornaments come to life as costumed characters perform astonishing feats that celebrate the holiday season.
An international cast of acrobats, aerialists, singers, dancers and musicians perform on stage, in the air and while dangling from a 24 foot tall magical tree. There will be gingerbread men flipping through the air, toy soldiers marching on thin wires, penguins spinning and puppets caroling.
Ticket prices for Cirque Dreams Holidaze are $35 and $25. Tickets can be obtained by calling Ticketmaster at 1-800-736-1420, or online at www.ticketmaster.com. Also see www.cirqueproductions.com for the full Cirques Dreams line-up.
