Clevelanders who are looking for a unique and special way to spend part of Easter weekend with their children should check out the Easter Bunny Train and Egg Hunt holiday excursion offered by the Hocking Valley Scenic Railroad in Nelsonville, Ohio on Saturday, April 19.
Easter Bunny Train With trains departing at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m., passengers will get to enjoy a leisurely train ride with the Easter Bunny where they will then stop at a secret destination for a special Easter Egg Hunt (divided by age groups) that will include lots of prizes and candy. The ride and the egg hunt event will last approximately 2 hours.
When ordering tickets, make sure to let them know the ages of your children so they can be placed in the proper age division (2, 3-5, 6-8 and 9-12).
Seats on the train are not assigned and they are on a first come, first served basis so it is recommended that you arrive early. Reservations are not required but the event tends to sell out. The Depot will open for ticket sales at 8:30 a.m. If you purchase tickets online, the tickets will be held for you at the Depot and you must pick them up 30 minutes prior to your train's departure.
Cost of the Easter Bunny Train is $17 for adults and $10 for children 3-12. Children up to age 2 are free.
It is highly recommended that you make advance reservations.
