'The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug' in theaters in December 2013 (trailer)

When we last left Bilbo, the Dwarves, Bilbo and Gandalf had successfully escaped from the Misty Mountains. Bilbo had obtained the one ring. Now, they continue their journey to get the gold back from the dragon, Smaug.

On December 13, 2013, Bilbo and the gang continue their adventures in “The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug.” The adventure – fantasy is returning under the reprising role of Peter Jackson as director.

Plot:

After crossing over and under the Misty Mountains, Thorin and the group must seek aid from a stranger with powers before heading toward the Mirkwood Forest without a wizard. Once they reach the settlement of Lake town, it will be time for Bilbo Baggins to finish out his contract with the dwarves.

The group must complete their travels to Lonely Mountain and Baggins must find the Secret Door that gives them entrance to the home of Smaug, the dragon. Gandalf has some business he is secretly taking care of in the south. What would that be?

The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug” is also known as “The Hobbit Part 2.”
