“The Hills” star Lauren Conrad started filming the show around the same time that she got an internship at Teen Vogue. She continued to work while going to school, but she left the show before she really started growing her career. She was working at People’s Revolution and it sounds like she has grown lots since then. According to a new Us Weekly report published on Oct. 17, “The Hills” star Lauren Conrad is now revealing that she thinks the show had something to do with her career in the fashion industry.
Conrad recently sat down for an interview and dished about her fashion career. "It definitely didn't happen over night," she said of her fashion career. "It was what I went to school for. It was sort of the path that I had been on for several years before I signed up to do a show. Ever since the third grade. I had been taking classes at a local art college all throughout high school."
She has been working on her own clothing line, which is created with Kohl’s. And she added that “The Hills” played a role in it. "I was also given opportunities that I wouldn't have had otherwise, so you kind of take the good with the bad," she said. "I think that if you work hard enough, you're going to get there. For me it was sort of a challenge. I was like 'OK, people are going to say these things so I need to work extra hard to show them this is what I want to do and this is not a 15 minutes thing.' This is my career."
What do you think of her statements?
