We are each wise. This can never be argued. The question becomes, do we realize this about ourselves? Do we notice this intrinsic quality of who we are? How exactly do we tap into our wisdom? Where precisely does it come from? What exactly, beyond a simple dictionary explanation, does the word “wisdom” mean? Wisdom goes beyond knowledge. Knowledge is culturally based. Wisdom is personal. The high priestess card in tarot is a good starting point to examine our own intrinsic wisdom, as she reminds us to go beyond what is immediately presented to us as the truth. Go deep into the truth and find where it starts. Find where it began. What is its original source? Finding this will open a source of wisdom you have never truly experienced before.
What is beyond wisdom? Pure divinity and grace. Beyond wisdom is what is intrinsic and authentic. We seek wisdom. But what is this that we call “wisdom” but an interpretation? Do we not take what is genuine and authentic and place upon it and filter through it our own thoughts and projections based on our individual needs and the needs of our society? Therefore, what is real? What is authentic? Authenticity lies beyond what we try to interpret and what we try to rationalize and understand.
True wisdom is but an impulse felt by the heart. It is a sudden knowing that suddenly occurs to us. It is a quiet mind that simply downloads and may or may not seek an awareness of what it is receiving. Is wisdom found in books? Interpretations are found in books. The true truth is found within.
In the attempts to articulate what we receive in our quiet states, something pure, the pureness of what we know becomes lost. There will be those who read our words and place upon them a different understanding. They will in their attempt to gain “knowledge” find in our words a meaning that suits them, that fits into the paradigm of their previous enculturated understandings. This is fine and it is to be expected. It does not mean that one should not try to impart wisdom to others. For it is true that each point you offer gives a starting point for the understandings of others. What it means is that for one to receive pure and true intrinsic knowledge, one must seek it for their own self. They must learn (for in our culture today, a quiet mind is no longer intrinsic. It, yes, must be taught and learned) to quiet their mind to receive divine messages that are available to all.
Silence. Silence the mind. A quiet mind in a chaotic sea can do much to calm the waters. This is but one aspect of the high priestess card. When it comes up for you in a reading, remind yourself to go within and find answers. Find wisdom. We each have a tremendous source of it. Find it and share it. Doing so does incredible things for the evolution of the human species.
