The Hells Angels of Troy, New York celebrated Groundhog Day at their annual bash this year on Saturday, February 4. Some 300+ walked through the doors of the Leonardo DaVinci Lodge in Rensselaer to claim their lobster, shrimp & scallops, and enjoy the company of their friends in the biker community.
Even though this winter in the northeast hasn’t been too bad, we still experience cabin fever at this time of the year, and this party is always well-attended because everyone is itching to get out, reunite with biker friends, and get ready to ride! There really is a subtle excitement in the air when we come together for this first big biker bash of the year. Lots of smiles, handsome men and beautiful women filled the main dining room and the crowd always spills into the bar in the back where, thankfully, there are a few extra tables.
The Troy HA’s do a great job every year working together to prepare and serve the food on time and to insure that everything runs smoothly. The women also do a fantastic job of serving and greeting everyone in the endless food line. I had to laugh when an HA prospect excused himself while I was waiting in line, to pass by me with a tub full of fresh lobsters to replenish the supply (quite a site to see)!
Once again, the Hells Angels welcomed all to a feast of fish, some fun and lots of friends. Even those bright red lobsters with their fresh white meat are the proper representatives for this party – that is, until we EAT them and they lose their colors…lol
Have a great day!
