THE HEART OF THE NAIL

As Valentine’s Day looms near, dreams of a romantic night out, receiving a beautiful piece of jewelry or a bouquet of luscious red roses, dance in the heads of many love-lorn women.  If you are one of the many happily married couples, or love-struck couples who see the world through rose-colored glasses, then is one big day for you.  For the rest of us, we continue to dream, wish and wait for our turn in the spotlight of love. The color red plays such an substantial role on Valentine’s Day. We equate red to many different emotions.  Of course, on Valentine’s Day we think of hearts, lips and roses.

Actually, the color Red symbolizes much more than just love.  In China, for instance, red is the color of prosperity and joy. China brides wear red and paint their front doors red to bring good luck and fortune.  Red is a passionate color. A stop-and-notice-me color.  It conveys confidence, vitality, strength and courage.

Red does have a dark side, though.  It conjures up images of blood, pain, fear, anger and negativity.  Red is such a subjective color, that if you asked a group of people what they thought of red, you would get many different and diverse answers.

That’s why wearing red nail polish on Valentine’s Day or any other day is definitely making a statement.  Valentine’s Day would seem to be the first choice to wear bright red nails, especially compelling with added nail artwork, such as hearts or even lips.  Very sexy and noticeable.  Sally Hansen’s Nail Art Pen in Red is an easy way to draw on those hearts or any other sign or symbol you prefer.  Kiss Nail Art Pen (has two pens) in black and white is also a great accessory to add beautiful artwork to your already beautiful nails.  Look at some of the many ways your nails can look fantastic and festive for this Valentine’s Day.  These nail art pens can be used for other art designs, not just for Valentine’s Day.  For Easter, you can put eggs or bunnies on your nails.  For Halloween, pumpkins, cats or ghosts would be fun.  For Christmas, trees, ornaments, even presents could be put on your nails.  You get the idea.  Use your imagination and most of all, have FUN!
