The Heart of America Foundation is a DC-based national nonprofit that aims to inspire acts of service and a love of reading by building community and providing children in need with the tools to read, succeed and make a difference. Sweet Charity features over 50 of DC’s best chefs who will demonstrate their talents with sweet and savory tasting stations. Daring chefs will transform chocolate into fashion couture for models to display in the Des Alpes Chocolate Fashion Show. There will also be an open bar and silent auction filled with art, jewelry, sports memorabilia and restaurant gift certificates. Proceeds from individual tickets sales will help The Heart of America Foundation’s Books From The Heart® program provide books for deserving DC area children.
