February is National Heart Month when health care organizations bring awareness to taking better care of our heart. The Center for Disease Control estimates that one in four people die from heart disease a year that is about 600,000 lives lost. Seventy five thousand Americans have a heart attack in one year costing our country $312.6 billion a year which includes medical, prescription, expenses and lost wages. These conditions play a major factor in disabilities and prevent the full enjoyment of life.

There is reason to be optimistic-there is more information and change can happen. Maybe one of the lectures is a good place to start making subtle changes in your diet.
