It's called Human Chorionic Gonadotropin (hCG), a hormone produced during pregnancy.  When prescribed in a medical scenario, it is either as a fertility medication (men or women), or to restore testosterone production in men.

The hCG Diet, however, was created in the 1950s, by Dr. Albert T. Simeons, a British-physician who claimed hCG injections would allow dieters to manage easily on a 500-calorie per day diet.  He further claimed that hCG could suppress appetite, burn stored fat as well as redistribute fat from the hips, thighs and waist.

Today, some doctors say you can lose 30 pounds in 30 days, while other doctors warn against it.  Dr. Alexis Parker, of Denver, notes, you must be willing to adopt the diet for the rest of your life or don't waste your money.

It is unbelievable how lazy our society has become.  No one wants to work hard for long-term results. Instant gratification is the ultimate goal, no matter the cost.  If you're willing to throw away a couple hundred bucks while risking your health for a quick fix, the hCG diet is for you.

But before you do, read Dr. Stephen Barrett's report and other medical reports on hCG.  You can also read favorable and not so favorable comments from real people.
