The live music scene in San Antonio is going strong and the music starts off early this week. San Antonio’s very own The Hawks (of Holy Rosary) are playing at Hi-Tones on Tuesday June 3, 2014. The group is about to go on tour with Dr Dog, a rock band from Pennsylvania. Their second full length album “What Team Am I On?” is to be released on July 22 through Texas is Funny Records.

The Hawks (of Holy Rosary) is a punk pop band founded by Frank and Chuck and started out as a two piece ensemble. The two are childhood friends who have always worked well together and the group’s name comes from the academy they attended. This six member three part harmony group is unique as well as spontaneous and uncompromising. Their live shows have a tendency to be high-energy, loud and never the same.

Members of The Hawks (of Holy Rosary) include:

  • Frank Weysos - Guitar/Vox
  • J.C. Noriega - Drums
  • Chuck Hernandez - Bass/Vox
  • Christine Roberts - Keys
  • David Manzano - Percussion
  • John Dailey - Guitar
