Baseball is really a simple game. You hit the ball, catch the ball, and throw the ball. When you hit the ball you run.
Baseball is the only game where cheating is allowed. Baseball players are allowed to cheat to gain an advantage. The umpires are not allowed to expose cheaters unless asked by the opposing team. Only then are they permitted to make a decision on whether or not a team has cheated.

Dummies won't succeed at baseball because despite its simplicity the game is complicated. It is said that the game of baseball is played from the neck up. You have to have brains to play baseball.
Many a crucial baseball game, including championship games have been lost because a player forgot, or wasn't aware of the rules.
Baseball is played by both sexes, sometimes in combination in the same game. Don't give me that old crap about women not being able to compete against men. Jackie Vernett, a 17 year old female baseball player once struck out Babe Ruth and Lou Gehrig in an exhibition game.
Baseball is also played by people of almost all ages. T-ball leagues start at 6 years old. Octogenarians play the game as well.
There are several versions of baseball that all are able to enjoy.
