The Greater Charlotte Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) is holding a couple of upcoming events in the Charlotte area.
There will be two adoption events, both held at Petco stores. The first one will be held on Saturday, Jan. 19 from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. The location is the Petco at Arboretum, located at 3401 Pineville Matthews Road in Charlotte.
The second adoption event will be on Saturday, Jan. 26 from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Petco at Piper Glen, located at 6416 Rea Road, Charlotte.
The SPCA of Charlotte is not a government run organization, as stated on their website Jan. 14. The SPCA is a private, non-profit that helps pets and humans in Charlotte and counties around Charlotte.
All donations are tax deductible according to laws pertaining to such.
The Greater Charlotte SPCA states their mission as follows: to improve the quality of life of homeless animals through veterinary care, foster care, humane education, and spay/neuter programs.
Volunteers are always welcome to help with the adoption events.
