The Great Scale Model Train Show coming to Timonium, MD

The Great Scale Model Train Show and Railroad Marketplace will be coming to the Maryland State Fairgrounds in Timonium, Maryland inside the Cow Palace on Saturday, February 2, 2013 and Sunday, February 3, 2013. This is the thirty first year of the show. There will be over 800 tables of vendors selling all kinds of model trains, train accessories, and memorabilia. There will also be model train layouts of all scales by Art’s Garden Layout, BANTRAK, the Baltimore Area Flyer Club, the Baltimore Society of Model Engineers, Berrett Hill Trains, Capitol Free-Mo, Chesapeake and Alleghany Live Steam, D.C. Area Independent HiRailers, Delaware Valley Hi-Railers, East Penn Traction Club, Four County Society of Model Engineers, and Japan Modelers of D.C. just to name a few. There will also be a children’s play area featuring Thomas toys.

The hours are 9:00am to 4:00pm on Saturday and 10:00am to 4:00pm on Sunday. On Saturday, admission is $9.00 per person good for both days. Families are $18.00. On Sunday, admission is $8.00 and families are $15.00. Those fifteen and under are free.

The Maryland State Fairgrounds are located at 2200 York Road in Timonium, Maryland just minutes off I-83.
