The Great Nature Project
Go outside! National Geographic wants to highlight through photos the wonderful diversify we have on this earth. This is a celebration of nature. Take a photo of a plant or animal and upload it to National Geographic using the #GreatNature hashtag.

The goal is to create a global snapshot plants and animals. You can submit photos starting on September 21st up until September 29th, 2013. The idea is to document what is out there. Only if you know what plants and animal are there can you conserve them.
People of all ages are encouraged to send in photos. If kids are under 13 years old, they should upload their photos to National Georgiphic Kids My shot and use the hashtag #GreatNature
Also, this is an attempt to be in the Guinness World Records® for the largest online album of animal photographs!
There will be a live video discussion on Tuesday, September 24th @ 1pm EDT (5pm UTC).
2013 marks the 125th anniversary year of The National Geographic Society and what a great way to celebrate!
