The Great Ghost Hunt 2012 continues at Whispers Estate in Mitchell Indiana. On the evening of Friday, January 13th 2012 the public investigation yielded some spirited happenings. A group of 14 people gathered for a guided tour that was narrated by Van the owner.
Whispers Estate was built in 1894. The house has a rich history; some of it has been lost in time. Whispers Estate has the distinction of being the 4th most haunted place in the USA. Whispers has had countless deaths occur within its walls, a good reason for ghosts and spirits to haunt it. Whispers also sits on a geological area of limestone and a limestone foundation which is also believed to create portals for ghost and spirits to easily enter their earthly haunts.

The tour started in the main room or the waiting room (former Parlor) of the Doctors Office, and continued on into Dr. John Gibson’s examination room and the attached bathroom. Next stop on the tour was on the second floor in the bedroom of Jessie, Dr. John’s wife who died of Pneumonia in the room. In later years the room was occupied by a boy named Gary who died at 9 years old. The second room upstairs is known as Rachael’s room. Rachael was a little girl who was adopted by Dr. John and his wife; she died in this room after a fire in the parlor downstairs burned 80 percent of her body. The tour continued on into a second floor bathroom known as Mr. H’s bathroom. Mr. H had slipped and broke his neck and was not discovered for 3 days. The next stop was a third room known as the servant’s quarters. The third floor or the attic was the last stop on the tour. The attic contains an unfinished séance room and an attic bedroom. During this investigation, the door of the closet in Gary’s room flew open and hit the backside of one of the girls on the tour; this event was witnessed by everyone in the room. This phenomenon happened two more times that night. In Rachael’s room the beach ball was pushed to the floor twice. Numerous orbs were found in almost all of the still photos and some pretty amazing anomalies as well. A photo taken in Gary’s closet has an amazing light anomaly.
The floor in one corner of the former Waiting Room or Parlor had a constant vibration. Mediums have surmised that this is a vortex that reaches up to the third floor. When sitting on the couch, it felt like the floor had a vibrator in it.
Strangely, two cameras memory cards were blank after taking hundreds of pictures, pictures taken after leaving Whispers are on the memory cards.
Big Black did not show himself but the spirits of Gary and Rachael were present and very active on that Friday the 13th and numerous cold spots occurred throughout the night.
