After being a top team for the past three weeks, Bowled and Beautiful was eliminated after just a $122 difference between their team and Philly's Finest Sambonis. The teams began Sunday night’s episode with only $50 seed money, but were challenged to finish with $1,500 in sales.
Bowled and Beautiful was a successful team from the beginning. So, what went wrong? The team blamed most of their failure on location. Aloha Plate and The Slide Show were both set up in prime spots, so Bowled and Beautiful were selling elsewhere. They just could not get the crowds that the other teams were able to draw.
Were those California girls upset over the loss? Of course they were! They thought if perhaps they had charged more for their bowls, then that $122 could have covered them and Philly’s Finest Sambonis would have been the losing team instead. However, the girls wanted to be fair to their customers and higher prices just did not seem right.
Bowled and Beautiful is a team still determined to make the food truck dream come true and with their early success on “The Great Food Truck Race”, it is quite possible!
If you thought that Bowled and Beautiful were going to win it all, what are your thoughts now? Who is your pick to win the race? Keep watching the “The Great Food Truck Race” on the Food Network, Sundays at 9 p.m. EST to see if your team takes it all the way.
