The Grapevine dance

On my first visit to Dallas more than 20 years ago, friends took us to a steak house in Grapevine for a memorable evening of country music and two-step. I had just completed a series of dance lessons at Arthur Murray’s, and it was the perfect opportunity to strut my stuff on the dance floor (wishful thinking and not at all reality).

Grapevine is a historic, charming town nestled between Dallas and Fort Worth and is perfect for a weekend getaway. It has a great sense of community and there are plenty of adventures to be had from touring the local winery’s to taking a tour on one of the vintage railroads, or attending one of the many local festivals.

Melissa’s Top Pick’s:
Great Taste of Grapevine: April 8th - Features 40 restaurants in one location and is held at Hilton DFW Lakes.
New Vintage Wine Tour: April 16th and 17th - Spend a day on the Grapevine wine trail during the Blessing of the Vines and New Vintage Wine & Gallery Trail.
Gaylord Texan Resort – Check out their website for web-only specials and enjoy a weekend of luxury and relaxation at this spectacular resort.

Make your plans now and start your weekend with a “two-step’ back in time on historic Main Street in Grapevine, Texas where you’ll find plenty of shopping and good places to eat.

Thanks for being a loyal reader and have a great trip.
