‘The Good Wife’: Fans grieve over Will Gardner’s death as Josh Charles directs

The fans of The Good Wife are still trying to pull themselves together after a beloved character was killed in a courtroom shooting only a few weeks ago. Frankly, viewers who loved the show was blindsided by the action. The secret was so well-kept that felt like it was a real death. According to Hollywood Life on Sunday, Josh Charles is still on set of the popular CBS show, but he currently is directing an episode instead of acting.

The Good Wife actor has found his new passion to be helping make an episode instead of just performing in front of a camera. While it might be surprising to some fans, this has Josh Charles still on the set, but in a different capacity. Now he is directing as he offers a perspective for the process of filming the segments to make the show enticing.

Apparently the fans aren't the only people are trying to make sense of what to do. Life after Will Gardner is part of the April 13 episode as well as Finn Polmar now seems to be a bigger character in the show. Alicia and Diane consider merging their firms after Will’s death, even as they find themselves on opposite sides of a difficult divorce lawsuit. Meanwhile, Alicia offers help to Finn when it is obvious the State’s Attorney is looking for a fall guy in the Jeffrey Grant case

Television characters always be loved by viewers. People interject themselves into the moment and it offers a means of escape of reality. With Will Gardner’s death, people are slowing moving on and looking to build a relationship with those characters still on the show. Together everyone is finding a way to put the pieces back together and it’s oddly true even if this is just a television show.

Watch The Good Wife on Sunday, at 9 p.m. ET on the CBS. Even without Will Gardner it will be great to watch!
