The Good News and the other news: Some fools never learn, Part 3

While I was driving down the road on election day, a song came on the radio that I had not heard since I was a kid. It is a Steve Wariner song called Some Fools Never Learn and I think the opening words are very fitting in this moment, when we see the convictions of those who said "Never again," cast aside in favor of the illusion of financial gain.

"All my friends say, I should leave you alone.
You've got a heart like a stone, And a wonderin' eye.
And I know that they're right.
I can make up my mind, Not to see you again,
But you move through my dreams like the wind,
It's no good to pretend, It won't happen again,
Cause it'll happen again.

"Some fools never learn.
Play with the fire,
And your gonna get burned ... "

Apparently most Hoosier Republicans are involved in a romantic relationship with the social-communist movement which has vowed to destroy the very moral fabric with which our Founding Fathers stitched America together. I had hoped and prayed that, at least here in Southern Indiana, such would prove to not be the case.

However, like the Israelites of Moses’ time, a song testifies to the sins of Hoosier Republicans. Professing conservatives around the State, especially those with whom I have spoken personally in Evansville and the surrounding area, claimed Obama fooled them in 2008.

But they cannot say they did not know what they were getting when they chose Coats, Young and others like them. I and so many other true conservatives, in fact I would go so far as to say true Americans and true patriots, warned them and gave ample proof of our claims.

Still, they went chasing after more empty promises of "Hope and Change," which have long since been proven to be nothing more than a combination of hoax and chains. Truly, some fools never learn.
