The goal isn’t to kill ego but to retire it

Some methods of consciousness growth treat the ego and rational mind as enemies to destroy. They are friends, but they can be ignorant friends that hurt you.

The damaging friend

Did you ever have one of those friends in your life that hurts you as much as they help you? The ego and rational mind use the old programming of lower consciousness that keep your life from working optimally. The “old ways” just aren’t working any more. When you realize your ego triggers uneasiness, when the outside world doesn’t fit your addictive model, you should become aware of the addictive pattern games-and understand the heavy price paid for all of them.

The goal is not to kill your ego

The goal is to retire your ego for lack of work. Your ego is important to you in uncovering you addictions you have yet to work on. When you reprogram your addictions, your ego will stop triggering negative emotions that interfere with your happiness. Watch your ego’s operation and use it as a part of you that will give you experiences you need in order to grow into higher consciousness.
