The Global Orphan Project's 10 year anniversary will be celebrated at their annual Big Event fundraiser. The Big Event will be held at The Midland in Kansas City and will feature a dance routine specifically choreographed for this event by the Storling Dance Theater.
The Big Event is much more than a blow-out celebration of The Global Orphan Project's success in transforming the lives of orphans from the poorest nations on earth, it is an opportunity for you to share in the “love-bomb” that explodes when the generosity of contributors ignites their own hearts as well as those whom their financial gifts bless:
"The Big Event is a love bomb,” Joe Knittig, CEO of The Global Orphan Project, said. “It's a time where selfless people at the top of the world connect with hurting children at the bottom of the world, and that connection explodes with hope. Hope for children once left behind, as we try to send 1,500 children to school from this night. And hope for those who come, as they experience a joy bigger than our day-to-day challenges."
The funds raised at the Big Event will continue to provide for the needs of thousands of orphans under the care of The Global Orphan Project and will help to expand their programs designed to prevent children from being abandoned by their families. The GO Exchange is one such program. It provides living wage jobs to parents which enables them to stay together as a family.
