This pleas deal comes as a shock as the Teresa Giudice was supposed to enter a not guilty plea.

At the time of the indictment Teresa Giudice attorney Henry Klingeman said his client would be entering a not guilty plea.

Klingeman declined to comment on the new plea deal of guilty to four charges, including fraud to be entered on Tuesday.

Giudices’ had a 39 count indicted in the summer of 2013 brought against them with multiple counts of fraud.

Joe and Teresa are accused of conspiracy to commit mail, wire and bankruptcy fraud. They are also accused of making false statements on their loan applications.

The couple filed bankruptcy after the first season of “Real Housewives of New Jersey” (RHONJ) and didn’t report their new income from the show on their loan application.

Prior to being “Real Housewives of New Jersey” stars the couple inflated their income on a previous loan application.Teresa Giudice is one of the main stars of “RHONJ” which airs on the Bravo Network.

Her fights with family and friends on the show and her confrontational personality have brought her a lot of success and opportunities to brand herself; as an entrepreneur with cookbooks, skin care line, sparkling wine and skinny Italian food.

Her rambunctious personality even earned her a spot on Donald Trump’s “Celebrity Apprentice” where viewers thought they would see the drama Teresa’s usual dishes out with her cattiness, but instead she conducted herself professionally on “Celebrity Apprentice”.

During the past summer when the charges were first brought upon the Real Housewives of New Jersey reality stars both Joe 43 and Teresa 41 said they weren’t guilty and were going to enter non-guilty pleas.
Teresa could face two years in prison if the judge decides during sentencing.

The couple does have separate attorneys, and if Joe is convicted he can face deportation as he is an Italian citizen, that decision will be up to U.S. Immigration officials.
