The Garden of the Gods

Back in March of 2008, I rode again on a motorcycle through the Garden of the Gods park near Colorado Springs.  The day had started in Morrison, CO with me taking part in a group ride put on by the ColoradoBeemers motorcycle club.  This was back in the day when I was still trying to figure out whether I was a group rider or a solo rider.

I ended up leaving the group ride after a stop in Colorado Springs, long story short, I guess I am a solo rider at heart.  Regardless, I was in a good position to ride over to the Garden of the Gods park nearby.

It was not too crowded since the temperatures were in the 40s still. Here's some pictures I took that turned out OK.

Pictures done, I headed back north towards Denver using the I-25 slab to get to the Air Force Academy's North Exit and cut over to CO83 or Parker Road from there.

About 200 miles of riding today, beautiful weather if a bit on the cool side while heading down to Colorado Springs. Beautiful views of Pikes Peak during most of the trip down as well. Here's a parting view of this majestic mountain:
