The Garagenous Zone: T-Flex turns practice space into venue

The Ames synth-funk band T-Flex has come up with an enterprising new way to take control of the concert process. The band is now hosting concerts in their garage. Yup, you heard that correctly. T-Flex's practice space has been transformed into a new music venue called The Garagenous Zone, complete with a stage, sound system, and lights.

The Garagenous Zone, located at 208 Howard Avenue in Ames, will be hosting a big event on Wednesday, March 27, featuring co-headliners Terror Pigeon Dance Revolt and Little Ruckus (video below). Also performing at what is being called "Kiss the Spring" will be Mumford's, Madeline Ava, Kyle Hall, and hosts Tyrannosaurus Flex (T-Flex). "Kiss the Spring" will run from 6:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. and will be an all ages show. The Garagenous Zone has stated that this will be an alcohol free concert—no alcohol will be permitted on the premises. There will be a $5 charge at the door, and all the proceeds will go towards the bands' tours.
