The time has come to announce another Kickstarter campaign. This time, it is coming to you from just over the border in Vancouver, British Columbia. Garçon Model is the company, and underwear is their specialty, and their Kickstarter campaign, like their underwear, is an interesting twist on something with which you think you are familiar.
The Campaign - Starts Thursday, December 5, 2013
Instead of merely raising money in order to manufacture a predetermined product or set of products, Garçon Model is putting the consumer in charge of some of the product development. Pledgers will be able to vote at the end of the campaign for the undies of their dreams with the most popular styles and colors becoming a part of Garçon Model’s second collection. Once their second collection is ready to go, supporters of the campaign will be provided with a coupon in order for them to redeem their rewards. This could very well be the future of small batch, customer-driven production.
Garçon Model makes some seriously fancy underwear. From their brightly colored, semi-metallic waistband, to their lustrous, sueded microfiber, the look is at once high-tech and distinct, yet high-spirited and irreverent. Garçon Model claims that their microfiber is softer, more supportive, and easier to take care of than cotton, highly durable, and great at wicking away moisture. Stay tuned to this column for the upcoming review of some Garçon Model boxers.
