The Game, Wendy Williams, Anderson among 2012 NAACP Image Award TV nominations

BET's hit series The Game just scored nominations at the 43rd Annual NAACP Image Awards. Nominees including Oprah's Life Class, Anderson, and Wendy Williams were also announced Thursday.

Fresh off a well watched season premiere earlier this month, The Game is nominated for Outstanding Comedy Series where it will face fellow BET series 'Reed Between The Lines'. Actor Pooch Hall is nominated Outstanding Actor in a Comedy Series while Tia Mowry and Wendy Raquel Robinson are nominated for Outstanding Actress in a Comedy Series. Overall, The Game is up for six awards including Outstanding Directing and Outstanding Writing in a Comedy Series.

On the film/movies side, The Help and Pariah lead with eight and seven nods respectively, including Outstanding Motion Picture.

Wendy Williams and Anderson also earned nominations for the their daytime talk shows, as did The View, Oprah's Life Class and The Doctors.

Grey's Anatomy and Modern Family top the television categories however, with 18 nominations.

The NAACP Image Awards will be presented Friday, February 17 at 8pm on NBC.
