Tragedy struck when a mobile home fire took the lives of Ana Angel's five children and her boyfriend while she was working a shift at Burger King. The story pulled at The Game's heartstrings and on September 18, CBS News reports that he and Drake have come together to help the grieving mother. Together, The Game and Drake donated a total of $22,500 to help cover funeral expenses.
This is not the first time that The Game has stepped in and helped someone in need. He has pledged to donate a million dollars by Christmas as part of his Robin Hood Project. He made headlines just days ago by donating $10,000 to the mother of slain 6-year old Tiana Ricks. At this rate, he might just make that million dollar goal with no problem.
The Game just happened to be on the phone with Drake when he learned of Ana Angel's family. Telling the rapper about the tragedy and that he intended to make a donation, Drake was quick to step up and offering his own matching $10,000. With an additional $2,500 given by the producers of VH-1's "Marrying The Game," the total donated was $22,500. This sum should surely help a grieving Angel to cover the funeral expenses of her boyfriend and five children.
