Chef Phillip Frankland Lee of Scratch|Bar is opening his second restaurant in Los Angeles, The Gadarene Swine on Tuesday, September 9th, offering dinner service along with a Chef’s Counter. The restaurant has a full beer & wine menu, with standouts including the homemade mead. Chef Lee’s menu offerings contain no meat instilling his hyper -modern approach to new-vegan cuisine creating a menu solely focused on the most vital food group, vegetables.
Hours: Tuesday-Thursday: 5:00-10:00 PM
Friday-Saturday: 5:00-11:00 PM.

Located on Ventura Blvd in Studio City, The Gadarene Swine offers a highly creative, approachable take to fine dining. Utilizing simple ingredients with an elevated approach, guests can indulge in a tasting menu available at the Chef’s Counter where they can watch Chef Lee prepare eggplant and carrot in unexpected, yet tasty ways. Eggplant will be served in the form of Crispy Eggplant Skin with Eggplant Puree, Roasted Diced Eggplant, Pickled Eggplant, Sweet ‘n’ Sour Radish, Puffed Amaranth, Raw Corn, Onion Soubise, Avocado Mousse and Chives.
Walking into the restaurant one step off of busy Ventura Blvd. will feel like walking into a rustic yet charmed cottage. A white picket fence encloses the front patio, and inside, features a transformative vibe rarely found in Los Angeles.
