Yes, that's "Mad Men" star Jon Hamm as "Sergio", the gypsy-curse Saxman of legend.
As per usual, it would seem that last night's "Digital Short" was the highlight from an otherwise "Meh" episode of "Saturday Night Live". "Mad Men" star Jon Hamm was the host, and besides playing a half-naked Scott Brown, the actor also stripped down to appear as "Sergio the Saxman" in Andy Samberg's "Digital Short" for the week. Check it out below, my gentle Examiner readers...
Who wants to see Jon Hamm half-naked, wearing suspenders, and playing a saxophone? The better question may be, "Who doesn't?" Read on for the video, my precious snowflakes:
You know, I almost-- seriously, I was THIS close-- picked up the first season of "Mad Men" on BluRay yesterday, but I'm still not convinced it's my thing. Frequent Comedy Examiner readers have guided this writer before, and it seems like many of you know my tastes (thanks for the Natalie Portman pics, Guy Who Shall Remain Nameless), so what do you think? "Mad Men": worth buying, or should I try renting it first? Hamm did an admirable job on last night's SNL, and everything I've seen him in thus far I've enjoyed, but...still not convinced.

Actually, I thought last night's SNL was one of the best of the season so far thanks to John Hamm. And watching him gyrating around half-dressed wasn't bad either (although who would have figured that he had a muffin-top over those spandex boogie pants?).
I don't watch "Mad Men" - mostly because it comes up against other preferred programming - but I'd sure use Netflix or other venues to rent it rather than buying it.
Even DVRing it and liberally using the fast forward most attempts to catch SNL on the thought that they might actually have something funny worked into the 90 minutes leave me wanting the time back.
Got something to say?
