Mutts & Models: The Fundraiser for Underprivileged Pets May 17

DENVERPetAid Colorado is taking guests on a Vegas stay-cation at EXDO Event Center on May 17 for the 13th annual Mutts & Models, Denver’s premiere canine and celebrity fashion show and original “black collar” event.

Mutts & Models: The Fundraiser for Underprivileged Pets will entertain an expected 650 + guests with an extravagant party that exudes the flash and flare of new Vegas and entertainment reminiscent of old Vegas.

Show Girls will mesmerize the crowd as they open the stage with Jake Schroder, the evening’s emcee and National Anthem vocalist for the Colorado Avalanche. Guests will also enjoy the entertainment of a Blue Man Group tribute act while they sip on cocktails, indulge in premium catering, and bid on a variety of items in the silent auction. Auctioneer and former Denver Bronco, Reggie Rivers, will take the stage for the live auction before the evening concludes with the main event – a canine and celebrity fashion show.

Models will strut down the runway with their canine companions in fashions from White House Black Market of Cherry Creek North and Ted’s Clothier. Many local celebrities will be participating, including Chris Parente of Everday and anchor, Chris Jose, from KDVR, anchor, Mike Nelson from KMGH, mid-day deejay, Issa Lopez from the Party, and former supermodel Kim Alexis.
All proceeds benefit PetAid Colorado — the healthcare safety net for underprivileged pets and animals at risk. Attendees will have the opportunity to bid high and bid often and enjoy socializing with other pet lovers coming together to raise an expected $250,000 for PetAid programs.

PetAid Colorado provides services to thousands of pets every year through four programs: PetAid Animal Hospital, PetAid Care Grants, PetAid Disaster Services, and PetAid Home Outreach. PetAid Colorado is able to offer veterinary care during times of need and disaster because of donor support and events like Mutts & Models. All animals deserve veterinary care regardless of their owners’ financial circumstances.
