The Fundamentalist becomes the Observer: More from theTucson Atheism Examiner

The fundamentalist went away and now we have the Observer, a person who feels it is necessary to do everything they can to convert or prove what is said to be wrong. Unfortunately, as with many trolls the Observer is afraid to use their real name, this tends to be a by-product of belief systems based in myth and “traditions.” They fear that to use their real name they are in fact allowing the other person access to their “souls.” But enough about that lets go straight to the wonderful trollish comments and responses that must be made, after all I am quite tired of deleting this trolls comments.

Observer“ if you have not actually served in the military, you really don't know who is what and what they believe.”

Jesse – Having written what you failed to read your comment does not make any sense to myself. For instance, you refer my lack of actual ground pounding experience. You are right, after all I was unable to serve directly in the military, I have never hid that nor would I take away from the real soldiers by claiming what is not true. However, I have actual friends (people who like me for who and what I am versus what I believe) and they are in actual combat situations, several are currently serving their fourth and fifth ACTIVE duty tours in various Mid-East assignments. Interestingly I also tend to surround myself with friends that think and act as I do; strangely, this means that these “soldiers” are atheists, pagans, and agnostics. Sadly, this is not something you obviously are able to comprehend, do you have any real friends or do you push everyone away as being not "holy" enough?

Observer“Another observation I have made of your writing is that you seem to have done quite a variety of different things in a short while. However, given your views regarding faith, you would naturally have the propensity to "stretch the truth" more in order to justify your views… This only proves your belief system is no different than most other deity believing religions. In this case, the deity is yourself.”

Jesse- Given that, you are unable to use your name, (fear of the boogeyman.) You are in no position to assume any level of (integrity.) Which if you really are a “Christian” you should know makes you look exactly as I paint you and your kind. Pharisees to the hilt, while there are some very good Christians it is obvious you are not one. As for my timeline and what has been accomplished, I can verify it; however, there is no reason to submit this for you.
As for my “deity” being myself, you are very correct. What could possibly be better than actually believing in oneself and ones abilities?

Observer “ God or not God? That is the debate now isn't it? Well, here it is. After years of church life, numerous slanderings by that church, backbiting, lies, immorality, and much more, … We do because we are so insecure without God at the healm. If you would put half as much effort into helping the poor or widows or hungry that you do trying to fabricate "facts" of no God, this world would be better off.”

Jesse – Several points you seem to be getting at here, so I will answer them as best I can.

  1. No debate for me regarding “gods” existence, how can one debate what is not there and cannot be shown to exist even with simple theory?
  2. Slander, Backbiting, lies, and immorality you poor person sounds like you were bit by the Charismatic Christianity bug pretty badly.
  3. Helping the poor, widows, hungry etc. do not get me started, tell your pastors and televangelists to sell their fancy cars, houses and instead of building hundred million dollar “money pits” try dispersing their funds as per what the “bible” teaches, do not be an Ananias now.
  4. There will always be someone lazier and less involved in the world than you or I, I will not help them perpetuate that.

Observer “You rant about how you are "understanding" of other beliefs, then why are you an atheist? What have you done recently to help your community… Who have you saved or given direction to who will benefit for eternity… Who have you healed, reached out to, talked to about living with a purpose, shown God's love by your own example…”

Jesse – I love using point-by-point responses.

  1. Being an atheist does not by default make me less understanding of others.
  2. I donate my time to several various organizations; again, since you do not use a real name and are acting as a troll would there is no reason for me to go into more detail.
  3. An individual cannot save anyone of course, are you a “God” maybe, or do you have the inside track to house prices in “heaven?”
  4. Eternity, energy exists and has an extreme life span, but since there is no one that can tell me if they actually are able to exists outside of time (which is eternity) than I would say, fail.
  5. Healed, no man can heal anyone; they can help the body heal itself though. However, none of your “faith” healers can or have actually healed anyone (prove it just once , pictures, documentation, video anything that can really prove it outside of some myth.)
  6. God’s love, there is no god.

Observer
“ I have reached several transcients in and around my town, and given them basic amenities for hygene with a simple tract on believing in God stuck in the bottom of the bag… No cohercion, no deception, no trickery or flattery. Just love, pure, unadulterated love and compassion for people.”

Jesse – More point by points, I do so enjoy using them.

  1. As a rule I do not assist transients, after all unless there is a justifiable reason (outside of their own desire to not contribute) I refuse to help those who do not contribute to society.
  2. You give them a “gift” bag and include a “simple” tract from your “beliefs” (is it a Chick tract by the way, because those are really very creepy) and than you go on to say you do not “coherc” I think you mean coerce, you say you do not use deception, no trickery, no flattery etc. What do you call HIDING a tract (creepy tract) in the bottom of a bag?

Here is my view regarding you Observer, I have no use for you or people like you. There is a reason I write what I write, it is to help others. I am very “good” about how I treat other religions; however, I will make an exception in your case. In your case, I will say exactly what I feel about people like yourself. It is people like you that have caused hundreds of religious wars over the centuries, it is people like yourself that become terrorists, it is people like yourself that should be banned from society in general. It is people like you that are the reason people like me exist, after all, there must be balance in everything, or at least the idea of balance must exist.

Thank you Observer, for posting so many comments that, I cannot keep up with deleting them any longer. When you are able to use your real verifiable name, do so. Until than and from here on out you will be ignored as the troll you are. I always enjoy a little commentary to break up the normal flow of things.

You will never find me withholding my name while offering a remark in criticism. That is not my style, nor do I recommend that any of my co-religionists behave that way. My soul is in the hands of God, and when He wants to recall me (permanently) from the field, neither drug nor device of man will nullify that recall. And until then, I will go where He sends me--whether to this comment space or to my own Examiner page. (Where everyone is welcome.)

Another fantastic post by you, Jesse. The hypocrisy of The Observer is amazing. The simple fact that they won't say their real name and own what they believe is enough. What are they afraid of?

I have many religious friends who live, and devoutly believe, in God and are shining examples of what I believe religious people should be (yes, I'm judging them). The thing I notice about them is they don't judge anyone or try to tell others what to believe. The Observer, is unable to do that. His/her charity is only based on being able to force his/her religious beliefs on others in the grab bag and not just the basic belief that he/she should give to others and help them out of love. This is my problem with religion: Are you that pathetic that you need a book (or possibly a child molesting priest) to tell you basic morals? Are you really that inept that you can't figure it out for yourself? If so, then you do need religion and sadly, it won't help you at all.

You have shown the epitemy of your belief system. So much anger, so much confusion, so much insecurity. I, as well as your audience, have observed your level of maturity and lack of professionalism. May God show you mercy and may you someday find your security in His grace. He extends it to us all...All you have to do is reach out and grab it. You exercise your freedom of sitting around and writing babble. So, God bless you and may you find what it is you lack...............You have a lot of pent-up rage inside. Learn to control it or it will control you.

  • Observer 2 years ago

Salsaram, you are convicted. You show this by your choice of wording in regards to religion. To educate you, Christianity is NOT a religion. It is a belief and a lifestyle.

But, I choose to not lean on my own feeble weaknesses and ideas of what morales are. Only God knows how we should live. Lucifer tried to not be "inept" and he was cast out of Heaven and became Satan.

Adam tried to become like God and he was cast out of the garden of Eden and became sin.

So, yes. I choose to be inept. I do because I know that I cannot truely live a successful life on my own. Only with the direct help and influence of God can I experience LIFE! Only with His guidance and direction can I succeed.

I pray for myself as I pray for others. I am only human. But I still need God to run me, not the other way around. But, God bless all of you and may you find true happiness and completion through Him.

I bind Satan up in the name of Jesus Christ and the hold he thinks he has on your lives.

It is when we begin to lean on our own strengths that we begin to see our real weaknesses. The biggest mistake anyone could make is convincing one's self that we are in charge. It is only when we rely on our own human frailties that we fall down. Every time we think we got things together, we fall hard. Think about it. Try letting God be in charge and just live. He will not impede you, only intrigue you. God is not the "control freak" everyone makes Him out to be. Once again, I challenge you and say that you are simply afraid of authority. You just use God as the excuse for your problems or anger. Can you tell me when the last time He really failed you was? In facts please. Real facts supported by evidence. I promise you will not be able to present evidence against the Almighty. Because you never really understood God in the first place. You just use the "oh, so common" cop-out of religious scars. Did you actually have a relationship with God? Did you really KNOW Him?

  • Observer 2 years ago

I could present many "fantastic" miracles which I have personally experienced, but you would not accept them becuase Satan knows when he is beat. You will always have one more rebuttal on my last statement because you won't understand nor will you receive until you have been there. That is what I find so fascinating about unbelievers, you find it very difficult to "trust" let alone believe! It is just human nature revealing itself in human form. But, you are convicted. You know there is a God, you just are not ready to surrender your "comfortable" lifestyle yet! They always yell "help me God!" when death is right around the corner. My God reigns!!! We will all have to answer on that day Jesse. You know this is true because you see it in creation.

  • Observer 2 years ago

I do not care about who is right or wrong. I do not care about violence, anger, better man wins, or any of the other "macho" stuff. I simply care about you, you are my fellow man here on earth and I love you in a pure love, one most cannot comprehend. I will not stop spreading the Gospel. I care about seeing you again when our lives are over here on earth. I would like to see you in the new Heavens and Earth. Yes, I am a Christian. I do believe because I have seen death and it is very real and very lonely. God does not want to manipulate you, He gave us choice. He had the option of making robots, yet He chose to give us our own decision. We can choose who we will serve, ourselves or God. It is so much better when we choose God. I am very independent, but I love God because He chose to come down to my level and save me from myself. We can control destiny because we can choose life, God, the only God!

    To Terry and Observer:

You are wasting your time. Jesse is a Theophobe.

An individual without a belief system can convince themselves of anything.

I can't help but to be tickled at reading these articles. Simple actions of humanity comes with out prejudice, religion comprehension or understanding, and the freedom to do good to others without debate, is what life should be about. It is very interesting to me that no matter the religion aspect of life that an individual person views, an element of respect should be given to the messages we understand and toleratance to those we don't without further scrutiny or debate.
