Alfonso Ribeiro took to his Twitter early this morning to express his sadness regarding the death of fellow "The Fresh Prince Of Bel-Air" actor, James Avery.

James Avery, 65, played Uncle Phil on the hit television show, 'The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air,' and will truly be missed. In a tweet earlier this morning, Alfonso Ribeiro, best known for his role as Carlton on Fresh Prince, announced Avery's death via his Twitter.

Here is Alfonso's tweet:

"I'm deeply saddened to say that James Avery has passed away. He was a second father to me. I will miss him greatly."

UPDATE: TMZ has now confirmed the death of James Avery. "Sources close to the actor tell TMZ he died in an L.A. hospital last night.
