Here's a quick bundle of Hip-Hop news:
French Montana was unharmed after someone shot into a crowd outside of his tour bus. According to Fox News:
"
Police say a crowd of people followed rapper French Montana's tour bus to a local hotel Thursday night.
The rapper, his band and members of the entourage were onboard the bus. They had just pulled up in front of the Holiday Inn Express following a packed concert at the TLA on South Street.
Car loads of fans had followed them, and more fans were waiting for them outside to arrive.
According to police, the driver was getting off the bus to make arrangements for hotel rooms for everyone, and that is when a car drove by and just opened fire into the crowd.
Police tape now marks off where the two men were shot. The 27-year-old who was killed was shot in the stomach."
Ugh. News like that always sucks. French and Meek Mill were on the tour bus when the shooting happened. Fox News wrote:
"We understand that fellow rapper Meek Mill was on the bus with French Montana when the shooting occurred. French Montana tweeted a picture of himself and Meek Mill and complained on Twitter, saying, "Nobody has time for this ----." Indeed. Nor does hip-hop culture. (Courtesy of Fox News)
Kid Cudi dropped his new single "Immortal" last night. It's not clear if this is the official lead single from his upcoming album "Indicud", or if it will be serviced to radio. The 'net buzz is pretty good on this song. (Courtesy of Rap Radar.)
50 Cent could bring back G-Unit. Just last week, 50 was on radio blasting the idea of a G-Unit reunion. There's been an online push from hip-hop fans for Fif to get the crew back together, including The Game. Well, according to Fif, he's now open to the idea of getting the band back together (although Fif says "The original G-Unit, maybe." That ain't The Game). Hmm. Anything is possible if the money is right. (Courtesy of ESPN)
