The Fourth Annual FLICfest

See also

At the end of the month, head to Brooklyn's Irondale Theater for the fourth annual FLICfest. The festival will premiere 12 independent dance theater works by unique artists over the course of six evenings (Jan. 23-25; Jan. 30-Feb. 1). Each evening will include two premieres - one at 7:30 p.m. and one at 9 p.m. - followed by a cabaret performance in the theater's balcony lounge.

Founded and curated by Jeramy Zimmerman of CatScratch Theatre and produced by Irondale, the FLICfest is now an annual event dedicated to presenting the work of artists who are creating outside of the traditional presenter/creator relationship. The one-of-a-kind festival is focused on serving the alternative, experimental, risk-taking artists and allowing them the opportunity to present their work for diverse audiences.

The 2014 artist line up includes: Emily Berry, Yung-Li Chen, Tina Croll, Alberto Denis, Chris Ferris, Lindy Fines, CJ Holm, Aaron McGloin, Kora Radella, Keith Thompson, Vanessa Walters, and Hattie Mae Williams.
