Girl Scout Cookie sales have now begun, with less than three weeks until the seasonal sale ends on March 10th for the Greater Los Angeles and Orange County Girl Scouts chapters (Source; Source). For vegans, or those simply avoiding animal products, there are four cookie varieties that animal free, all of which are sold by the Orange County Girl Scout chapter: Peanut Butter Patties, Thin Mints, Lemonades, and Thanks-a-lots (Source).
Each Girl Scout chapter uses one of two different bakeries to supply their cookies: ABC and Little Brownies; the four vegan cookie varieties are produced only by ABC. While Little Brownies supplies the Greater Los Angeles Girl Scout Chapter, ABC supplies the Orange County Chapter. If you are looking for vegan Girl Scout Cookies, the ABC website lists the active and upcoming locations where the Girl Scouts of Orange County will be selling.
As well, you can find information on Girl Scout Cookie sales through a new smart phone application, called Girl Scout Cookie Finder, made for ISO and Android. When looking for vegan Girl Scout cookies, just make sure to check the name on the box carefully; while Peanut Butter Patties are vegan, the same cookie sold by Little Brownies (named Tagalongs) are not.
