A little over a month ago, Ford unveiled their new Interceptor police car at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, including a webcam broadcast for those of us who couldn’t make the trip to Sin City for the debut. Yesterday, Ford invited a group of journalists to their Dearborn Vehicle Development center to have a look at some of their vehicles being highlighted at this weekend’s NAFA Expo in Cobo Hall and the Ford Interceptor was the key attraction.
Ford Motor Company President Mark Fields reintroduced us to the Interceptor and talked about the features of the car, along with Ford’s bragging rights of owning most of the fleet business in the US. Once he was done briefing us on the success of the Ford fleet sales, we were unleashed on the Interceptor to climb in and around the newest Ford police cruiser. Once the crowd had thinned a little, Ford opened the doors and rolled the new Interceptor outside for some pictures of the car outside on a gorgeous Detroit day.
